Golden Milk is a traditional Indian drink made with turmeric to give its namesake color. The spices provide great flavor and health benefits including antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups alternative milk (almond, rice, coconut, soy, oat, hemp, macadamia, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon tablespoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • Honey to taste (optional)
  • 473.18ml alternative milk (almond, rice, coconut, soy, oat, hemp, macadamia, etc.)
  • 12.78g tablespoon ground turmeric
  • 2.13g ground ginger
  • 2.13g ground black pepper
  • 4.26g ground cinnamon
  • 1 star anise
  • 4.26g whole cloves
  • Honey to taste (optional)

Preparation
STEP 1

Add the milk to a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the turmeric, ginger, pepper, cinnamon, anise and cloves and whisk to combine. Heat for 4-5 minutes until steaming.

STEP 2

Strain through a fine mesh strainer. Sweeten to taste with honey. Serve warm or over ice.
